Mission
To strengthen our financial team in Brussels, we are looking for an Tax Specialist. Your mission? To be the guardian of tax and accounting compliance for Decathlon Belgium and Decathlon E-commerce while simplifying processes to support our omnichannel and sustainable growth.
Your Role in the Team1. Tax Expertise & Compliance
Filings & Governance: Manage, optimize, and file all direct and indirect tax returns (VAT, Corporate Income Tax, local taxes, and corporate sheets).
Internal Business Partnering: Act as the go-to expert for tax questions across various departments (E-commerce, Logistics, Retail). You translate complex tax laws into practical, clear business solutions.
Audit & Monitoring: Lead active legislative monitoring to anticipate impacts on Decathlon. You pilot relationships with tax authorities and manage audits smoothly and confidently.
2. Accounting Mastery & Month-End Closing
Operations & Closings: Actively participate in monthly and yearly closings. You review accounts, justify balances, and ensure the production of reliable financial statements (BE-GAAP & IFRS frameworks).
Audit Transparency: Prepare closing files for external auditors and statutory auditors, ensuring strict compliance with legal and internal procedures.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in cross-functional projects to automate financial workflows and digitalize our accounting processes.
3. Project management for our E-commerce platform
DAC7
Deemed Supplier (when a cross-border sale occurs, Decathlon is deemed to be the supplier in the destination country)
C2C (Consumer-to-Consumer)
Verification of all existing invoice flows.
Primary point of contact for the marketplace on all tax-related questions and with other country tax specialists for projects taking place abroad.
Profil

You have good problem-solving abilities and are solution-oriented.
Moreover,
you hold a degree in Accounting, Tax or Finance/Economics, with 5 to 10 years successful experience (Retail/E-commerce experience is a plus).
you have a deep knowledge of Belgian accounting principles (BE-GAAP) and local tax regulations (Direct & Indirect).
you master Excel/Google Sheets and comfort with ERP/reporting systems (knowledge of SAP is a major asset).
you speak French and/or Dutch. Fluency in English is a significant asset for international collaboration.

You will work full time from our headquarters in Evere. You know how to be flexible, as there are key moments, such as the closing period.
